Does wildshaping cost you spells?

If a druid is wearing a periapt of wisdom and wildshapes, the periapt melds into their form and becomes non-functional. So their WIS drops and they lose the high-end bonus spells. When they change back, the periapt un-melds and their WIS goes back up, but those spells are still gone.

Is that right? :\

If so, is there a 3.5 version of the Wildling Clasp anywhere?

I don't see how the spells would leave--going back to normal form I would think would simply return the character to the status quo (minus any hit points lost during combat in the wildshape).

I think technically the spell slots would go away when you wildshape (and the periapt goes inactive), and you'd get them back - empty - when you return to your normal form.

Frankly for the sake of simplicity, I'd say leave the slots alone with regard of the wildshape/inactive periapt thing and just say you don't get the other benefits of the higher wisdom. It saves you having to note which spells you've memorized have come from what source.
