Does Wizard school Savant work when crafting scrolls?

RAW it wouldn't, but I was thinking of trying to make the case to my DM that it should have some benefit when writing scrolls from your chosen school. Is that too much?

Makes sense to me. You still have to have the magical formula, which is 100% under the DM's control, so I see no issues with reducing the gold piece cost. It's a nice way to emphasize your tradition choice, making each type of wizard feel that little bit more distinct.
