Introduced the Wife but she no longer plays...
I actually introduced my wife to the game while were still dating in college. This was in 1990 and I ran a 1e game for a little over a semester with her and a couple of friends. After we were married I fell away from the hobby and she didn't pursue it either. I think she really played just to spend time with me.
Anyway, I'm in the military and picked the hobby up again while deployed with a group of friends in 2002 (we had a lot of dead time to fill). We played a 3e game the entire time and have continued it since. I've been DM'ing again for about 18 months and we have a table-top game every other weekend. We've lost about half of our original group to moves to other bases and as a result I set up a website two months ago and started a play-by-post game on our new forum. It's going well and we have the whole gang playing from such far-flung locations as TX, Las Vegas, Montanna and the middle east.
Unfortunately with three kids and a host of other activities, my wife never decided to join back in. I keep working on her though and will hopefully wear her down eventually.
Wish me luck!!
