Does your spouse think gaming is just for nerds??

My wife calls my gaming night "Nerd Night" (and that's what our neighbours refer to it as well). She says it in a gentle ribbing, affectionate way though. She's not interested in gaming at all but she isn't trying to stop me from enjoying it.

*is too nerdy to have a spouse*:(

*engages in "consumer therapy" with RPG products (and guitar gear) to avoid lamenting lack of spouse*
;)

Definitely not!, Otherwise I'll kill her character in the next session and make the kids suffer it too. (Just kidding)

No, we are a gaming family, my son has been playing since he was 5 and my daughter since 9; my wife has been playing almost since we we're married so, anything she says will be reflected back upon her. No, she likes clothes, shopping and all the "normal" things other women like...oh yeah and hacking bugbears with her dual longsword wielding 1/2 elf ranger....

She's also a got a serious dice habit.

Well, it could be worse. My wife is doing everything possible to get me to quit playing. Actually, I've played once in the past 18 months and I guess that was too much for her. I'd love to have her just call it my "nerd" games.

I introduced my fiance to D&D. I remember when we were first going out he came over my house a few times and if I had something else to do and couldn't spend time entertaining him he entertained himself by reading my D&D sourcebooks. I think I jokingly asked him once whether he was coming over to see me or see my books. :)

He probably thinks of it as nerdy, but we both admits that we're nerds, so no harm there. (Though I prefer the term "geek" myself.)
