I do have that one. I'm mainly interested in 3e era ones for any ideas they might have.It's 5e, but Aquisitions Incorporated could work quite well as a model for guilds...

ACKS (either edition) handles the passage of time and all your examples quite well in domain play.Do any of these supplements consider the passage of time? One thing I am looking for is something that generates domain events over the years. Famine, extreme weather, tragic death or celebrated birth of an heir, discovery of a new resource, &c.
Oh so many...Does anyone know if 3e had anything that dealt with running domains or was that not until pathfinder that something was put together?
I know they had the leadership feat which represented gaining followers like in earlier editions and I think there was a book about building strongholds, but I'm not sure there was anything to do with running a realm or even something smaller like a guild, perhaps the playerbase had moved on by that point so that they didn't feel it was worthwhile, but I could have also missed it.
Birthright suggests focusing the action in the area the players are located, but it does have an events table that is rolled on each domain turn to see what, if anything happens. Can't remember how detailed it is and I'm sure birthright DMs would have expanded on it, but there is a system there. The DM would have to drive events between rulers.Do any of these supplements consider the passage of time? One thing I am looking for is something that generates domain events over the years. Thanks for the list, sounds like I have even more books to seek out and read through.Oh so many...
In addition to the previously mentioned Stronghold Builders Guide (WotC) and Fields of Blood (Eden Studios) there's;
Power of Faerun (WotC)
Strongholds and Dynasties (Mongoose)
Empire (AEG)
Testament (Green Ronin, community rules)
A Magical Medieval Society (Expeditious Retreat Press)
Countrycraft (Ray Winninger, Dragon 293)
Honourable mentions;
Harn Manor,
Any of many 3e Birthright conversions available online,
Brandes Stoddard's series of articles examining domain rules for D&D
The DnD Rules Cyclopedia
So many 3rd party domain rules on DrivethruRPG
And I'm sure there's more I don't remember or ever knew about
Very good. I have a number of these supplements to help set things up, but I could use a couple random tables to see how things progress over the years.Birthright suggests focusing the action in the area the players are located, but it does have an events table that is rolled on each domain turn to see what, if anything happens. Huh, I have the first edition and didn't notice that. I'll have to look again.ACKS (either edition) handles the passage of time and all your examples quite well in domain play.
My memory says it did, but I could be wrong. I know the new editions covers that stuff.Huh, I have the first edition and didn't notice that. I'll have to look again.
