What you do matters, even if it happened a couple years ago. Especially if you're unrepentant about it and were essentially strong-armed into changing your mind.

pretty sure there were a few things people complained about since the OGL

Yeah, that’s not true.
Some folk are unrepentant apologists for the stuff they like. Ofc, some folk will complain no matter what... but yeah, it's hardly been quiet on the WotC front.

Off the top of my head, controversies in the past 6 months.

Blurgate was pretty lousy. Putting copyright strikes on YouTubers channels.
Cancelling orders of new books.
Attempting to remove 2014 content from DND Beyond.
The usual mass layoffs.
Confusing stance on AI.
Online gambling partnership.

I'm not enraged about any of these, but they're still pretty negative looks.
Blurgate? Do you just mean the unclear NDAs. That was probably the worst thing, but was still pretty minor.

I think it was a distributor that had to cancel orders, but that's just an unlucky thing.

There were not trying to remove 2014 content from Beyond, but people really could not understand it.

Layoffs happen at all companies and have been happening all years.

Stance on AI is that it can't be used for art, and most objectionable things. The CEO is interested in it, but it does not look like the WotC staff is.

Gambling is neither a positive or a negative in my book.

Sorry, a copyright strike against a YouTubers channel is no small thing. Especially to that YouTuber.
You mean, the copyright strike where absolutely no one actually lost their channel? That copyright strike?

Again, seems a bit tempest in a teacup to be honest. I'm sorry, but, 🤷 This is not something I'm going to get up in arms about. It's one thing to review a new product on a Youtube channel, but, some people where actually showing page by page videos of the new book.

Meh, I'm not going to relitigate this. But, again, if that's the worst thing in the past year, I'd say that it's not a bad year at all.
