Have you ever been at the gaming table (or anywhere else) and just realized that adding "Of DOOM!" behind anything makes it that much more fun and intimidating?

"I think I shall have a Mt. Dew... Of DOOM!"

"I attack the rhodin with my crossbow... Of DOOM!"

"I cast fireburst... Of DOOM!"

"I want a #5 combo, with curly fries... Of DOOM!"

Sure, we all have. But wouldn't it be great if you could do that in an AU game? Now you don't have to worry about it, because here it is, the long awaited Doom template and weapon property.

Doom Mage (Ceremonial)
Once finishing a ceremony where you spend the day contemplating the eventual end of all things in a darkened room, you are able to cast spells that cause your enemies to despair.

Prerequisite: Truename
Benefit: A character with this feat may apply the doom template to his spells as described below. Further, he gains a +4 to Intimidate checks

Doom
Having pierced the secrets of the cosmos and knowing that doom is upon them, the caster learns to make others fear their spells.

Characters may add this template to any spell. When it is cast, impressive lightnings flash and thunders roll and the caster may call out "DOOM!" in a sounorus voice that echos grandly. As a free action, the caster may make an Intimidate check against any who were affected by the spell. Those that fail a Sense Motive check have a -1 attack penalty for one round.

Cost: Verbal component, "DOOM!" that cannot be modified much. One could say "Doom to your family" or "Doom to the land," but the word doom must be in there somewhere.

Note: Yes, this means you can have a transfer lesser wounds of doom, but that's the whole point of the spell. Everything is doomed, even healing.

Weapon property
When a Doom weapon scores a critical hit, impressive lightnings and rolling thunders sound through the area and a deep voice cries out "DOOM!" The victim must then make a Will save of 16 or be shaken (-2 to attack rolls, saving throws, skill checks, and ability checks) for one minute. +1 bonus

This is cool, I like the idea!

I don't have AU, so I don't know how it fits in the magic system there... and it would clearly require some tweaking for 3.5 dnd use. But I may just have to run with it. :o

One question: can you intimidate multiple targets, or just one, when you cast a doomed spell?
