Double Tap-How does it work??

i think its in d20 mdern, and connected to the use of semiauto guns.

you basicly fire of 2 rounds instead of one pr attack as long as you have atleast 2 rounds in the clip and have the feat. you take -2 on attack and +1 die on the damage.

requirements are dex 13+ and point blank shot.

From the d20 Modern SRD

Double Tap

Prerequisite: Dexterity 13, Point Blank Shot.

Benefit: When using a semiautomatic firearm with at least two bullets loaded, the character may fire two bullets as a single attack against a single target. The character receives a -2 penalty on this attack, but deals +1 die of damage with a successful hit. Using this feat fires two bullets and can only be done if the weapon has two bullets in it.

To further clarify: If you have a pistol that does 2d6 damage, you take a -2 to hit, fire 2 bullets, and do 3d6 damage to your target. :]

Thanks for your replies evryone!! :D

Last question: Is this part of a larger feat chain, or does this stand alone (ie I can use is with Far Shot, but Double Tap [is/is not] a prereq for another feat)?

I don't recall seeing a feat chain based on it in the core rules. I'd like to see a crunchy Modern book, but after seeing the DnD Complete series and D20 Future, I'm convinced such a book couldn't meet my standards. :(

EDIT: Gah! Rodrigo posted it on post 3; how could I miss?

From HERE

Enjoy. ;)
