Double Weapons and Whirling Barbarian

First post on EN World (yay!). Boring question that's probably been dealt with many times before (boo!).

Question: Can a whirling barbarian [Primal Power] use a double weapon [Adventurer's Vault] for powers where "you must be wielding two melee weapons" is a requirement?

It seems so, as the first line of the double weapon description reads "Wielding a double weapon is like wielding a weapon in each hand". However, it doesn't seem to work in Character Builder - unless I'm making some sort of mistake.

What's the feeling here?

You can, just remember to use the secondary end for the off-hand stuff.

Also, double-weapons got nerfed, check the errata for details.

The Character Builder, for some reason, doesn't calculate the [W] values for the off-hand weapon when printing out the power cards for Whirling Slayer powers -- not even when you've got two regular one-handed weapons equipped.

The character builder doesn't do anything with anything off-handed for any power in the game ever.

Seriously, I ran tests with the ranger and two different weapons. The character builder ignores the off-hand completely, only one accessory is used by the powers to calculate. Take Two-Weapon fighting, and notice the damage bonus will get applied to the stats it gives you for both weapons--it should only ever give it to one weapon. What it's actually doing is giving you the stats for each weapon as though it were the main weapon, rather than actually calculating it correctly.
