I'd even go so far as to say get rid of the bastard sword and its axe analog too. The weapon rules in D&D already let you put two hands on a regular sword and hit harder. The longsword makes a perfectly good hand-and-a-half sword without having to waste a feat.drothgery said:Scrap everything but the quarterstaff. And most of the rest of the exotic weapons list, too (the monk weapons aren't needed if the monk's not in PH1, and everything else except the bastard sword, dwarven waraxe, whip, net and hand crossbow is silly).
