DR / Magic in an antimagic field?

So what happens? Now that adamantium nolonger provides an enhancement bonus, how do you overcome DR in an antimagic field, or is DR/magic cancelled out?

I've always assumed that DR/magic is "supernatural" and goes away in an anti-magic field like all other "supernatural" abilities. If its extraordinary, then you'll just have to use power attack.

Only Golems typically had (Ex) Damage Reduction.

That problem would appear to only really turn up with Colossus (Epic Golems) if the conversion changed their DR to epic instead of adamantine.

Adamantine.

I'll accept 'Adamantite', since the word appears at least once in the 3E Core Rules.

But there's no Adamantium.

Oh no! Its the spelling police!

I let a lot slide (I usually let someone else take rouge, for example :) )... but adamantium and mithril are two that nag at me too much to ignore.

skeletons DR should be EX, I dont know if it says so or not.

The MM doesn't say, but I think that's a reasonable interpretation. I'd sayt he same for zombies and for most creatures that have DR against weapon damage type (such as treants, etc.).

We had this exact discussion come up with regards to a lich and a fellow player did a long MM search. DR is listed sometimes as Ex, sometimes as Su. If it is Su for the creature in question, then it would go away. But I'm not convinced they always thought about it.

In short, apply some judgement based on the source of the DR.
