Have any of you noticed the uncanny resemblance between Dr Octopus, the supervillain, and Dickie Bird, the great (retired) cricket umpire? Bird's jumper tied round his waist even looks like Doc Ock's tentacles. I was disappointed Bird wasn't cast in Spider-Man 2, though I concede Alfred Molina is probably the better actor.
