OK, and the winners are....
First Place
First place, with a $100 gift certificate, is Sagiro. In fact, I had difficulty choosing between his entries - either one of them would have won him first place. Congrats, Sagiro!
Second Place
Second place, witha $50 gift certificate, is WanderingMonster, who so eloquently descibed that player who we all know so well.
Third Place
Third place was the hardest to choose. There were five or six entries that I wanted to pick. In the end, though, the prize goes to sawyer0413 for his great look at why we play this game.
Well done to all three winners. And well done to everyone else, too - you made choosing very hard, and I laughed long and loud at a lot of them!
If you guys would be so kind as to browse the EN World store, pick out what you'd like and send me a list along with your delivery addresses, I'll buy the goodies for you and send them on their way. Remember to include shipping, though!

Will any/all of the entries be archived on EnWorld? I think some of them are so great that they should kept around online so more people can find and enjoy them.

Cool! That's the second prize I've won for my writing in...13 years! The first was a Valentine's Day poem I wrote for the University of Wisconsin-- Madison's campus paper, The Daily Cardinal. I won most humorous:
My love is yours,
Your love is mine.
Let's make love on grapes
And get drunk off the wine.
I must say, that Morrus' prizes are much cooler than the $50 worth of plush animal I won for that poem (and I don't have to give it to my girlfriend!)
Most of all it was fun. Reading all the entries was muy muy entertaining.
