Yes...eventually. My group's decision to move to 3.5 before I launch our new campaign just took a big bite out of my book budget, so that and BoED are on my wishlist.

I have never run a detailed dragon encounter.

I love this book.

I still might never run a dragon encounter.

But I feel well prepared to do so when the time comes. My favorite portion of the book so far was the writeups of example dragons by type/by age ( the fluff part ) very insightful examples for breathing life into your dragon's motivations and personality.

juz wondering...

Nope

In all the years of D&D I have DM'd I have never used a single dragon-- I don't know why but I just haven' t. I have way too many other books I want first anyway

Got it as a freebie. Might not have picked it up myself but definitely would have put it on my amazon.com wish list. I like how it has stat blocks for 120 specific dragons, and I like the sample dragon hoards (one each for CR 1 though 27). I like the illustrations & discussion of dragon flight during combat. There's definitely a lot of good stuff for D&D in this book.

Just got mine in from amazon before I went off to work. I flipped through it and liked what I saw. The artwork was great and the few pages I read really inspired me to throw a dragon or two at my PCs. I've never run a dragon as a DM and when I do, this book will be a great source. :)

It's on its way from Amazon. It was always on my "definitely buy" list, but after reading the positive reviews I really can't wait to get my grubby hands on this book!

Never had any interest in dragons. Rarely ever see them in my games, and always groan with boredom whenever one gets trotted out. I won't even buy adventures that have dragons on the cover or in them! They just seem so hackneyed and stereotypical; my games are about conflicts between people, not dragonslaying and all-powerful monsters. I won't be buying this or any other dragon book. I mean, how many dragon encounters can you have? The Draconomicon, no matter how well written it might be, no matter how beautifully illustrated, would see such limited use that I could never jusify the expense. While it's totally useless to me, at least dragon-lovers can rejoice that WoTC made them such a gorgeous book, as the previous third party ones looked pretty lame by comparison.
