It was a maybe but then I saw it in the store Friday and picked it up and have to say I am impressed with it, alots of good info and ideas to keep players on their toes. The BADD group should be happy. :)

It was not on my must buy list. I remember looking over the upcoming product line and feeling that my wallet was safe since there was nothing on the horizon that I felt I wanted to buy.

Then I flipped through the copy my friend bought. I had to have it. Went out and bought it the next day. Not only does it have tons of useful crunch, but the fluff is just outstanding and fun to read. I love the sections on dragon anatomy.

Deffinately one of the better suplements put out in a while by WotC imho.

I picked this up last night...

WOW.

I never expected this. This is the book that I though BoED was going to be. BoED is the book that I thought Draconomicon was going to be.

I have not yet found a part of the book that I do not like. Everything seems well thought out and well balanced. the BADD people will be very very pleased.

I especially like the Dragon ageing, twighlight, and death section, and the explanation as to why dragons ultimately gather wealth. The players chapter and the dragon chapters are great. My players have been asking for more dragon stuff and the dragons in the party section will work great. (they want familiars and dragon mounts)

There are rules for Dragon armor, and dragoncraft items. There are also cool elegant rules for raising or training a dragon. (considering that my group's ranger just found, subdued and bound Calcryx, we will see where this goes...)

If you like Githyanki, Dragons as mounts will pique your interest. The spells and feats for both dagons and non-dragons are cool and compliment each other well.

The bit on dragon hoardes is priceless. This is because it further expands interesting ways to make a treasure (not just dragon hoardes) unique.

I think it has a decent shot at an Ennie.

Aaron.

there's another one out there?

Yeah, for AD&D 2nd ed. It was published after 1974, so you're off the hook. ;)

I'd love to get the book, I've heard so many good things about it. But it's very expensive. :(

You can't say that often enough :p

Well, obviously, you can :D

25 bucks? That's impressive. I thought I made a deal when I bought it for EUR 33.60.

I'm pretty much like most people on this thread. I'll be getting it sometime when I have more cash :)
I read it at my FLGS the other day and it looked good. I liked some of the new monsters.
