Well, Paizo prides itself on having "the industry's best comics", so I can see where they're coming from. I'm more concerned with the fiends!

My only complaint about the preview is the cover art. It looks more like it should be on some cheesecake mag then on a gaming magazine.

Demiurge out.

Anyone actually got this magazine and is willing to go into more detail about what's in it?

And besides I like the cover, there's nothing wrong with showing a Succubus when one of the main topics is Fiends.

This looks interesting:

Power Fantasy

Swinging from chandeliers, prying open doors, and throwing horses; “Action Adventures” presents the rules for cinematic actions, simple tools, and all the crazy things PCs try and DMs scratch their heads over.

if it's got a good set of rules for 'climbing' creatures larger than you to attack them, I'm all for it. Leaping onto a dragon's back and trying to stay there while you attack it, scaling a giant's clothing to reach a vital spot - most game systems don't seem to handle that sort of thing very well.

All right. That's it.

I've been putting off saying this long enough, but this is the final straw.

Rules for cinematic combat? Ideas for redeeming fallen characters?

Okay, Paizo. There's my $37.95. Now gimme your magazine!

Update: I got my issue 306 yesterday, so much for Paizo telling me it started mailing on 3/12. Don't have it here at work. I know one other person who has also received it.

received it yesterday. it's at home.

basic summary right off my head.

The demons/devils/daemon(loths) are interesting things to look at. Not too high on the CR also but can be quite an interesting throw at the players who don't know what they are. "what's that?" "you don't know". hehehehe

There is an article about the Githzerai and a few feats that the Githzerai use. Nice ones. One of the feats uses their astral cord as a whip I think. They even have an astral tracker feat.

There was a Redemption and Temptation points. Based on the 7 deadly sins and the 7 holy virtues. each time a player does one or the other, they have a will save (usually done in secret by the dm). Failing the save means they gain a point in either direction. The higher temptation points, the more the character is drawn to evil. Imagine a LG paladin that falls to pride too often. Interesting concept for fallen heroes or fallen fiends.

The sage advice dealt with magic supposedly but from the few questions I read, it dealt with song and silence.

That's just off the top of my head. I'm sure there are others. and not everything here is guaranteed 100% correct.

Rob & Kyramus,

Can you check if it says anything about the 5-sided die competition? I think I may be among the winners but 306 won't be available here until some time next month.

Thank ye ;)
