That was (and still is) one of the articles I was looking forward to.

Yeah, when I posted earlier, I hadn't realized they'd actually described the article. (Hadn't gotten my issue yet.)

Glad to hear you're looking forward to it. I had a lot of fun coming up with the various ideas for alternate clerics. They've always been one of my favorite classes; I was excited to have the opportunity to expand on 'em.

Just opened mine and haven't read it yet. BUT the cover art is excellent.

One question bugs me though as I look at page 106 for the full reproduction of the art work.

IS it just ME? or does that runic stone in the background resemble a celtic STAR GATE?????


Notice how some runes are LIT????

Even my wife thinks it is a DND stargate.

The Elmore painting may well have been prompted by the Stargate stargates, however, I think similiar things had popped up in SF and fantasy art a number of times prior to Stargate (whether through diffusion or independent innovation). The designs in the painting are so basic and look like so many other sort of rune-y designs people have come up with, the mild similarity of some of them to the symbols on the series might be coincidental.
