Dragon 315 looks super cool!

I'm sorry, you seemed to have missed the normal posting requirements for a Dragon thread: you have to point out how useless it is, and then declare that there hasn't been a good issue since Golden Age 'X'. Or, if you're Diaglo, you just proclaim that it hasn't been good since they dropped the 'The' from the title. :D

Now, if 315 sells well, it just might become a theme. It's certainly one that I'd like once in a while. I mean, I've got nothing against Faerun, but I savor the possiblities that 315 offers. Yum.

I just wanted to throw my "YAY!!!" in there... this sounds like an excellent issue! I buy prolly about 2/3 of the Dragons when they come out- this one is a must-have, for sure!

I apologize. I'll start writing my negative report of Dragon 315 tomorrow. ;)

Wow. Although I buy some Dragon magazines, 315 is the first one I'm actually excited about just from the preview for a long time, especially the Al-Quadim sha'ir and the Mystara stuff.

Yay, more Mystarans! Good settings 3, other settings 5 million!

Or are you counting Red Steel and Hollow World as two, and Blackmoor as the half for Mystara's Blackmoor heritage?

Yeah, that's basically what I meant. With the new Blackmoor coming out independantly, and the setting itself actually predating all the others, it's hard to classify it.

At any rate, the coincidence of this news and the fencing rules PDF release has me ready to dust off my box sets again. I'd prefer a race other than the tortole converted, but ah well.

I think dnd.starflung.com has some 3e legacy and inheritor conversions, if you guys have been by there.

I'm pretty psyched about the inclusion of the sha'ir as well, since I generally find sorcerers to be pretty flavorless. So now, another option!

Yep, sounds like a good issue, and I'll second (third?) the suggestion that this become an annual tradition. Actually, it was the tradition to have article on the classic campaigns in the Dragon Annual, until the year that they opted to do the d20 special instead (which of course led to the canceling of the annual issue entirely). But at any rate, I would like to see this happen some more.
