I suspect she'd be included among the suits -- the head suit if you will.
I respectfully disagree with yourself and Henry - at least in the context of the Dragon Magazine articles.

The "suits" referred to in those articles seemed to be very much hands-on... which I sincerely doubt was Lorraine W, if the stories regarding her disdain for gamers is true.

I am assuming that it reffered to the Blume Bros. Lorraine had things screwed up from a high persepective and an overall business end (why else were their financials so bad as to make the WotC buyout possible) but from what I understand she was not a hands on manager. The Blumes' were most likely the ones referred to. I would love to hear some of the stories from the designers at TSR during this time, but I doubt if anyone would be so public about posting them.

A: As far as I know, it's just something that has stuck.

B: None, unless she's a Hasbro shareholder. WOTC bought TSR lock, stock and barrel. For what it's worth, I vaguely recall Sean Reynolds or some other TSR employee posting "Ding dong, the witch is dead" to various places online just after the sale of TSR to WOTC was finalized.

I don't recall doing that, but do I remember it being said by someone.

Well, the Blumes were gone when I joined TSR in '95 (the year Birthright came out) and I think they had been gone for at least a couple of years before that, but you'd have to ask Ted, Monte, Thomas, or Rich to be sure.

There are a lot of really good artists coming out of the woodwork now. Especially in the draconomicon. Sam Wood, Todd Lockwood, Rebecca Guay, Jeremy Jarvis, Stephan Tappin, and Lars Grant-West among many are really good artists, and at least as good as the old dnd art. Personally i think the people bringing down D&D art theses days are Dennis Crapapple-Mcpain and whoever did the Paladin in the PHB. I almost feel sorry for Crabapple in the Draconomicon, page 132-3, having his Initiate of the Draconic mysteries juxtaposed with Tappin's badass platinumn knight. That and WAR needs to add depth to his pictures more. And to never draw faces. But otherwise he is cool.

And whatever happened to that guy FISH in the PHB, or have i failed to put a nickname to a real name?

Scott Fischer I believe. Last I saw, he did some work in the Fiend Folio.
