Dragon #321 contents and Dungeon #113 preview

Looking foward to this issue, the contents look wonderful if they are pulled off well at least to me. Also unlike dungeon, dragon usually comes to me at around the same time that it starts appearing for others.

This just may be the first issue I don't purchase since Third Edition began. And I even bought the Shannara issue!
You bought the Shannara issues, but balk at this one? What is it about this issue that makes you not want to get it? Just curious.

The Way of the Gun - Gunpowder Weapons for D&D. Eight pages on gunpowder weapons and attachments, with optional rules on pricing, damage, and misfires.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE have the stats for the Giff.... The only reason they weren't in the original Monster Manual (they were cut at the end) was because of the gunpowder. This would be the PERFECT chance to bring 'em back!

Planar Dragons - Dragons of the Outer Planes. Five NEW dragons, each given 2 pages, including the Adamantine Dragon (NG) breathes a line of searing white-hot fire OR breathes a cone of hold monster, Arboreal Dragon (CG) breathes a cone of razor-sharp thorns, Axial Dragon (LN) breathes a cone of force, Beast Dragon (NG or CG) breathes a cone of cold and electricity, Concordant Dragon (N) breathes a line of antithetical energy.

Where in the nine hells is the YELLOW dragon? It's one of the few that hasn't been converted to d20. Mercury showed up on the Wizards website, but no yellow at all...

The Limitless Light - A Tour of the Plane of Radiance. Details about the plane in opposition to the Plane of Shadow. Highlights include the Rainbow Bridge, Fixed and Drifting Islands, Radiant Clouds, and Chromatic Tornadoes.

Creatures of Brilliance - Inhabitants of the Plane of Radiance. Includes the Glimmerfolk, Prismfly Swarm, Radiant Creatures as exemplified by the Radiant Giant Eagle, and the Rainbow Dweller.

Mm... more fodder for my restructured cosmology...

Can't wait!

Big hippo men who love to use guns. Many a giff platoon has been wiped out by their own gunpowder mishaps... The race itself seems goofy, but they've got TONS of roleplaying potential, especially when you give them the 18th century british naval personality and an english accent. :D

I did a conversion for them for the Spelljammer site, but I'd love to see something more official in print. And since it's unlikely that Wizards is going to do a book of firearms, this could be the last chance...

Foundation of Flame
A mid-level D&D adventure by Christopher Thomasson. Adventure Path part 8.
All hell breaks loose in the city of Cauldron, as a long-dormant volcano sputters to life. The heroes must deal with the terrible consequences, ushering citizens to safety and negotiating fiend-filled streets littered with collapsed buildings. With the death of the Lord Mayor, who will lead what's left of the city?

 Holy cripes! Now this promises to be an exciting adventure! I can't wait to see how they will handle it.

Well at that time I was simply buying them blindly, as soon as they came out. However, after that issue, I decided to flip through an issue first and merit its worth to me. I saw the blurb in the current Dragon about Next Issue, and combined with this description, there doesn't seem to be anything that I would use.

I was also buying them blindly, so that's why I subscribed. Figure you're paying about half price, so even if you only like every other issue, you're still breaking even. It's a lot easier too, though the mailing issue's can be mildly irritating, hopefully they'll clear that up soon. (e.g. I just got Dungeon 112, haven't seen this Dragon at all yet)

Dont suppose Radiant is a template to go along with Shade is it?
