That looks like a ridicously good issue! My subscription doesn't start until 346 so I'll have to find this one at my FLGS. Thanks for the info!
I'm in the same boat. Although I have been getting Dragon monthly for a long while now, a debacle with Dragon last month at my FLGS and the fact that it's on $3/issue for a subcription has made me into a subscriber.

#345 will be the last my game store ever sells me.

I like how the artist makes the frost giant huge or at least tries to make it look that way by using a Gnome or Halfling. Her sword blade does look a lot like a historical short sword in the hand of a smaller race. Given the artist also does not oversize the giants weapon as most do, I suspect the off sizing of her weapon was intentional.

I can't believe I recieved both Dragon 345 and Dungeon 136 in the mail here in Hungary. I usually get them much later, than you Americans.

That's what I call good delivery.

Giants, more Demonology, and even Psionic support?
this will be my second issue bought this year. I wish it wasn't the same month as the FC:1 as my gaming buget is pretty limited.

Wow.

James, take a bow. As excellent as the various Demonomic entries have been to date, Kostchtchie tops them all--and I wasn't even that much a fan of the big guy until this article. There's a real sense of evil here, a darkness and cruelty that is all too often lacking, or else over the top, in these creatures that are supposed to be the embodiment of evil.

Fantastic job.

Seconded. The mythology in this article stands shoulder-to-shoulder with any real-world mythology. You managed to turn the big, ugly lummox into a tragic antihero. The memories of the obyrith soothing his rage was inspired.

Bonus points for including Baba Yaga. :D
