Dragon #349

actually, there are only 3 Demonomicon issues annually. they come out once every 4 months... thus 3 times per year. if you're looking *only* for the Deomonomicon articles, a subscription is probably too much for you.

Doh, you are right. I divided 12 by 4 and got 4...it's that new "feelgood" math, yeah that's it.

Since my Dragon failed to arrive today (Curses !!), could someone give me a brief rundown of the REAL Dagon ? Does he have any unique abilities he didn't possess in FC I ? And a wacky one :p - how many hp and what grappling bonus does he have ?

Thanks !!

Yeah, but for $39 you get the whole year instead of doing $24 for THREE issues.

It just seems like such a no-brainer to me.

I got mine! Mr. Jacobs, once again you've proven your worthiness as "chronicler of fiends". The flavor text just oozes creepiness, and the revelation ability is nothing short of...well, you know. ;)

Kudos also for Andrew Hou's artwork. I'm really digging this guy's work.

One question for James: In Dagon's spell-like abilities, it notes that the deflection and resistance bonuses from cloak of chaos are already included in the stats; however, Dagon's AC line breaks down as follows: 50 (-8 size, +2 Dex, +46 natural), touch 4, flat-footed 48. This seems to indicate no deflection bonus, so should his AC actually be 54, or should 4 points of his natural armor actually be deflection bonus (and thus improve his touch and flat-footed ACs by 4)?

Yeah... add in his deflection bonus. His AC should indeed be 54.

Thanks for the fast response! One more question: Was his aspect not included since it can be included online here?

There was originally a different aspect in the article (a more humanoid version of Dagon that would serve as a cult leader and had stronger connections to the Call of Cthulhu incarnation), but it was cut for space. Personally, I prefer aspects to be more different than their sources than the online aspects, which are essentially just lower hit die versions of the demon lords, but when faced with having to cut about a column of material from the article, I think cutting the aspect was the way to go.
