Dragon 381 - Class Acts: Invoker, Adherents of Kalandurren

Today's Dragon article is about invokers who channel the power of the deceased god of justice, Amoth, Lord of Kalandurren. The article contains a new channel divinity feat, four new invoker powers (two attack and two utility), and a new invoker PP. Its a cool idea and given some of the paragraphs in the introduction, I hope its an idea that WotC pursues with the other dead gods:

I had mixed opinions about this article. Am I supposed to already know who Amoth is? Am I supposed to already know why he's got a thing for teleportation?

I like sets of themed powers, and for divine classes I really like the idea of sets of themed powers related to a particular god. But I don't get why these powers go with this god, and the article doesn't tell me anything about this god except that he's a god of justice and he's dead now.

This isn't a deity article about Amoth, this is a PC article about cool new powers and such. Even if you've never read the background on this dead deity from the D&D hardcovers, just enough info is given to make this an interesting theme for a player character.

Amoth is a dead god of justice. What else do you need to know?

Well, in this case, why does he have all this teleportation stuff? These are supposed to be Amoth themed powers. What makes them so?

How he got killed would be nice. Some ideas who might be opposing this cabal could be interesting, as well. (Disciples of that current and scaly god of justice perhaps?)

It says how he was killed in the article, he was killed by a trio of demon lords (it doesn't say in the article itself, but it was Orcus, Demogorgon, and Rimmon).

O'm dissapointed, the article would have been a great opportunity to give the invoker finally some interesting feats, but while the stuff in it is quite good, it is not enough especially in the more important stuff... feats and at-wills :(
