Woulda liked to have seen maybe a 3rd option for the non-weapon users-striker and that poor, poor Vampire. Vampires are. . . drained of options as it is.

Don't think you are allowed options if you are vampire. That's the price for playing an l33t monster race.

Assuming this is a shot at the Essentials naysayers, I feel compelled to throw Aristotle back at you:

"One [ritual] does not a [resurgence] make".

No one's claiming a resurgence. But this is a pretty clear rebuttal to those who believed that rituals no longer had a place in 4e post-Essentials. Frankly, I don't see a "resurgence" (whatever that means) as necessary, given the large numbers of rituals that already exist that cover most general needs, and the ease of creating new ones for campaign-specific purposes. A trickle of support is really all that's needed from here on out.

Thanks for the praise, guys! I am very pleased with how it all turned out in the end.

I like thse too. Now if only you hadn't written up a certain Swordmage Level 16 resistance utility as an at-will instead of an encounter maybe it wouldn't have been nerfed to a daily...... ;)

I like them!

Matt - any reason the Student of Evard's feature is melee? I mean, I can see it getting some use, but it just seems suitable to ranged attacks for Wizards, Warlocks, and the like. :)

Flavor. I wanted it to represent the character going up, touching their opponent, and draining the life force out of both of them. I didn't want to make it a ranged attack.
