It's quite an impressive game, certainly more cinematic than the first one.
The fall of Lothering in the first one just seemed like an afterthought.
Lothering fell? It just noticed at a certain point I couldn't travel there anymore, can't remember any real mention of it happening.
yeah - i didn't notice WHY on the first play through, i just thought it got locked out and i couldn't go there anymore.
but then on some subsequent playthrough, i caught mention (that i must have skimmed through or accidentally hit 'skip' on) of lothering falling to the darkspawn just after you left it.
definitely an easy thing to miss.
I liked the original. Your decisions had an impact on the game's outcome, and a lot of them could have gone either way. Definitely will pick up DA2 when it comes out.
When I run into that kinda stuff I kill the crossfire first and then make tweaks from there.Anyone else have much crashing trouble with the demo? It complains about a missing disk (a hard-disk no less...) when connecting to BioWare and on 4 tries I have had two failures to start, one freeze early in the first combat and one after killing the first hordes and accepting the character.
I run on a rather capable AlienWare gaming PC (dual 5800 in crossfire, 2.67GHz processor, 16 GB ram, Windows 7 64-bit) updated with all the latest drivers :-/
