Urban Druid
In a recent 2 year campaign I ran, one of the PC's played an Urban Druid. He studied fungi, mold, and things associated with sewers as well as the sociological effects of dense populations of humanoids. It was an awesome character and worked well in the campaign.
That said, I have no problem with the fact that you thought it was a silly class. It doesn't obviously fit into the standard fantasy D&D setting as easily as the other classes.
Oh, and Battle Dancer is pretty cool.
