Dragon Disciple - a viable option?

Dragon Disciples are lame.

You spend all those levels not getting BAB, and then you spend all those levels not getting spells.

You end up not having a high attack bonus or high level spells.

You get to the end of that class as a high level character who can't do anything except make near-epic Knowledge Arcana checks.

Dragon Disciple is cool, but amazingly underpowered.

You get a +7 to your BAB, and +8 to strength. +8!!! That's the equivalent of a +11 BAB for 10 levels, plus the extra damage that goes along with the strength increase. How on earth is that underpowered?

Yeah, especially bbn/brd builds rock as DD. Singing while fighting, True Strikes plus Power Attack... Shield spell plus two handed weapon...

Bards don't have True Strike on their spell list.

This char was built with 3.0. I gonna miss Magic Weapon too.
