(Dragon No. 308) Oops!

I noticed in Dragon issue No. 308, in the GenCon ad on page 17, they put the wrong picture in for one of the guests. They put a picture of Traci Lords where there should be a picture of Virginia Hey.

At first I thought they switched the photos of Traci and Virginia completely, but the more I look at it, I think the photo labeled as being Traci (top of righthand column) really is Traci.

But the picture labeled as being Virginia (third from top, lefthand column) is clearly a photo of Traci.

Which begs the question: Will there be an errata posted on the web for the ad?

I'm pretty sure that is, indeed, a picture of Virgina Hey. She's quite a looker. She isn't really blue, ya know.

I know she's not blue. But the mouth is all wrong. Virginia Hey's mouth is wider, and the bottom lip thinner. Traci Lords' mouth is somewhat compact, with a fuller bottom lip.

Go look at those photos in the magazine again, and then look at some photos of the two actresses on the Internet. It's pretty obvious the magazine photo is not Virginia Hey.

Hmmm, could be Virginia but it would have to be an airbrush type deal. She is a lovely looking woman (met her at a Con). Honestly, the B&W doesn't make it easy. I've look around the net and it's not all that cut and dry. It DOES look more like Traci tho. I did a double take upon first viewing that ad myself. Didn't think much of it, tho...

Both are definitely Traci Lords and not
Virginia Hey. Very strange.

Is that really Traci Lords? The Porn Star Traci Lords?
If it is, I wonder whether there are enough cops in Indy to do crowd control...

I'm pretty sure that the pictures are correct. I remember checkng out the farscape page on sci fi and they had that same picture. I thought to myself wow, she sure looks a whole lot different with hair and not painted blue. The photo that dragon has is old. I think it was a press shot from around the time she was is Mad Max.
