Dragon Stalkers

"We are, sir." Asmund says gently as he enters the room.

"The Baron told us you had scouted for the lair of the beast that attacked the town. Any information you could pass onto us would be most welcome."

The Halfling smiled tiredly, "Information isn't something easy to get...we didn't find much going up there. Or maybe we did, but there wasn't much time. I wish I could've told the Baron this before, but he'd not had time...so since you seem to be the ones dealing with this matter, I guess its fitting for you to learn this."

He paused, obviously gathering his thoughts, "Its possible...and very likely, that we are not dealing with just one beast. The tracker in my group figured there were...about five."

"I'm not convinced those are half-dragons," the Halfling said with a shrug, "We saw those up in the mountains. So many of them...far too well organized....but our tracker was one of the best. Tracks were all wrong in parts, and the sighting of multiple coloured Dragons seemed to support that it isn't just a single creature."

"Five dragons? Rather more than I was wanting to deal with." Asmund says cautiously. "Did you see any of them? How old would you guess them to be?"

He's probably not got as much knowledge of dragons as you, lad. Ask him how large they were. Grandfather suggests.

"How large were they? If you can give us an idea of their size, we can better estimate their powers." Asmund clarifies quickly.

When Chanson hears the word 'five' he grimaces and quickly makes a small warding gesture. Five different dragons...Five is never a good number with dragons. It is special, and cursed...

Five dragons?
By the Gods...

Gwystyl listened to the halfling, intent on any details that the little Scout might offer.

"By the tracks...all but one of them looked to be about the same size," the Halfling paused a moment, waving his hand vaguely, "My eye wasn't one to judge well...but four of the sets could easily have two of me standing in them. The smaller one was just about the right size for me to stand in."

"Five of any dragon is bad enough, but four of them of that size, that is truly bad. We need to find them as quickly as possible." Chanson turens from his group back to the halfling. "Can you direct us to the lair?"
