Dragonhide Armor

First Post
I was looking over the rules for creating armor from dragonhide, and they didn't seem to sit well with me. I think that they should get something better than masterwork quality armors from the dragon, since it's not every day that a dragon gets killed, at least not in my games.

Does anyone know of better rules than the ones presented in the Monster Manual?

Hmmm, use the rules from AD&D 2nd Edition and modify them

I agree with you that the Rules for Dragonarmor are not good.
I dont rember the old rules correkt.

But i think it was AC of Armor from a Dragon is 4 Points worse then AC of the Dragon.

Sure, this dont work in D&D 3E but the rules need an upgrade.

And Give the Dragonarmor some resists vs. elements.

Red Dragonhide Armor vs. fire or so.

Just wait till kreynolds sees this... I have seen some good rules from him on this very topic.

He'll be able to point you to a pdf (for download) of his rules also.

Dragon Armor!!! :-)

I may not be ~SKR, but I've got a set of rules that I did a while ago. I put it on as an attachement. If you open it from site it'll be a bit garbled (but readable) ... if you save it and open it in word it should come out fine.

I'd probably leave basic dragonhide armor as it is, but maybe make it a lot cheaper in both gold and XP to put appropriate armor enhancements on it. Y'know, red dragon armor is cheaper to put resist elements (fire) onto, white lets you cast cone of cold, etc. They could all be cheaper to put basic AC pluses onto. Unenchanted, though, I'd leave them at masterwork.

Link didn't work for me. Got the "Windows could not access this" error.

The link isn't working for anyone right now. I can't access my computer from work right now either. I'll take a look at it later.
