Dragonhide Armor

Hiho Community,

can a Ranger uses a Dragonhide Armor withou suffering the "Losses of the TW-Fighting-Abilities"?. The Ruling to the TW-Feats says that he can only
use them if he is in Light-Armor. The Ruling of the DH-Armor says that a Druid can wear it because it is no "metal".

Can a Ranger now wear a medium-armor-type which is made of Dragonhide? and what is the AC-Bonus of a Dragonhide-Armor f.e Studded Leather +3

Medium Dragonhide armor is still Medium. There is a special thing you can do to the Dragonhide called Dragoncrafting, that is found in the Draconomicon (an excellent book, BTW). Dragoncrafted armor counts as one category lighter. Also, the metal in armor has no effect on ranger's abilities, just druids.

Go with Mithril 'Medium' armors (Breastplate being the best) for your Ranger. It's less likely to upset any Dragons you come across.
