This epic war story begins with an invitation to a friend's funeral and three optional prelude encounters that guide you into the world of Krynn. Amy Dallen is joined by Eugenio Vargas to share some details about how these opening preludes work and some advice on using them in your own D&D games.

There is also information on the three short 'prelude' adventures which introduce players to the world of Krynn:
  • Eye in the Sky -- ideal for sorcerers, warlocks, wizards, or others seeking to become members of the Mages of High Sorcery.
  • Broken Silence -- ideal for clerics, druids, paladins, and other characters with god-given powers.
  • Scales of War -- ideal for any character and reveals the mysterious draconians.
The article discusses Session Zero for the campaign and outlines what to expect in a Dragonlance game -- war, death, refugees, and so on.

More JK retconning her own stuff. It wasn't until later she made them "Loyal" etc. Same with Slytherines "Ambition" :

“Said Slytherin, “We’ll teach just those
Whose ancestry’s purest.”
Said Ravenclaw, “We’ll teach those whose
Intelligence is surest.”

Said Gryffindor, “We’ll teach all those
With brave deeds to their name.”
Said Hufflepuff, “I’ll teach the lot
And treat them just the same…..

Good Hufflepuff, she took the rest
and taught them all she knew,”
Not a big HP fan, but I see no harm in this. If I got angry whenever something like this was retconned, I'd have no fandoms left.

Clearly Slytherin had enough pull in the magic community that he had to be included for political reasons.
except no... that isn't the case, because Slytherin himself is not depicted as evil
The last Hogwarts house is Slytherin. Founded by Salazar Slytherin, Slytherins value cunningness and ambition.
now I am bias since 7 out of 10 times when people make me take the test I come up Slytherin, the other 3 I come up as Ravenclaw... and I am like "So I can't be the protagonist?"

agree whole heartly.

Why would good people let an entire group of evil people gain power?!?!
I went to boarding school with a house system, and they did have reputations similar to those represented in Harry Potter. There was one house known for bullies and dossers, one that was very academic, one very sporty, and one for the also-rans. The last was my house.

I don't know what an also-rans is, but I assume the bullies didn't grow up with the ability to kill with a word and were not being taught to kill with a word
