I've got so many campaign settings now that I really can't justify buying another one that I know I won't use. Besides, I refuse to give money to the creator of Kender.

Want to because I'm curious and love DL.

Might not because it doesn't fit my current budget, and I have no intentions of playing D&D in the near (maybe even far?) future.

but to me Dragonlance is like Lord of the Rings, fun to read but wouldn't want to play there because someone else has already done it.

Hows that any different from FR where theres about hundred times as many novels covering anything that could possibly happen in that setting?

Dragonlance isn't about what others have done. Its about what your heroes are going to do now. Its about roleplaying and heroics over boring old dungeoncrawls.

I was going to buy it, but then I saw the absolutely dreadful art gallery on the Wizards site.

No thank you! I'm sure the rules are fine, but I don't really think I could stand the pictures. Funny thing is, I'm not normally an art critic, but something about the art for the new Dragonlance really turned my stomach.
