Okay. Of all the major characters in the books (Chronicals to Souls) (from Tanis to Alhana Crystali (whatever her name was) to Laurana to Tas and kids)) how did each of them die?

Tanis died while looking at Steel Brightblade, hence distracted, and consequently a random warrior in service of Takhisiskilled him. He was defending the very same fortress Sturm was buried in.
Caramon fell to his death from the inn of the last home when he saw Tas, who actually should be dead.
Tas got stepped on by the god Chaos. Twice.
Raistlin challenged Takhisis, was about to win, then chose to lose because he found out that his victory would destroy Krynn.
Kitiara got killed by Dalamar during Raistlin's battle, and she then got carried away by Lord Soth .
Riverwind dies while fighting one of the five big dragons.
I can't remember how Goldmoon died. It had something to do with finding out that Takhisis had been the source of her power.

Well, part of it was that Goldmoon was very, very old and her former ward revealed herself as a follower of "The One God" (Takhisis) and Takhisis inflicted tremendous pain on Goldmoon when Goldmoon instantly rejected Takhisis. So it was pretty much a dramatic combination of a whole lot of things happening all at once.
