Dragonlance Themes?

One iconic DL concept is the concept of alignment being more of a philosophical exercise than a standard "Good smash bad" viewpoint of the universe. It's one of the only campaign settings I've seen that spotlights alignment and actually makes sense of it. Good and Evil people will work together regardless of alignment bias, and people don't usually kill Evil beings based on the sole fact that they're "Evil" (except for the traditional Capital-E villains: undead, demons/devils, other evil outerplanar beings; even Evil Dragons might get a bye here and there depending on the situation).

Redemption and restoration are important themes. For example the restoration of worship of the gods, restoration of freedom of enslaved people, things like that. Redemption--a number of the characters seem to struggle for redemption.
