Dragonlance trailer. . .

I may be a bit late to the party but has anybody else seen this?

More specifically, has anybody else seen this and been really underwhelmed by the quality of the CGI and animation? I mean, c'mon -- the DL trailer looks like a composite of bad 80s-era rotoscoping and pithy 1990s CGI. How did this happen? Surely, DL deserves better than this :(

Yes, you're late to the party, welcome anyway. ;) There have been a couple threads over the last month or two.

Yes, it looks horrible. :(

My opinion is they spent too much money on voice talent (as much as I like Keifer, I'm sure he didn't come cheap) and not enough an animators.

I know it's nitpicking but: 'After 300 years of peace ...'? I thought the post-Cataclysm period was a time of war and strife, to prepare mankind for Takhisis's return?

I just watched the trailer for the first time too. Yeah, the CGI scenes look especially poor. I'm sure I'll rent it, but now I expect to be underwhelmed. It seems all D&D movie projects are cursed . . .

Agreed. Unfortunately, I think the folks behind this movie were so hell bent to have *any* DL movie made (I mean, the DL movie site has been around since the mid 90's...) that they settled for the first shot they had. I doubt very seriously that any other animated movies will be made, and I think they ensured that the rest of us will need to wait 20 years for a decent live action/CGI adaptation to come out...
