Well, since you asked, the Dragonlance books, regardless of author, are the lowest form of trash fantasy, the absolute nadir of the literary form, written to corporate specifications and churned out on a never-ending assembly line of bilge. They are, without exception so far as I've read, poorly-written, amateurishly plotted, juvenile, without the slightest shred of imagination and lacking utterly in anything remotely compelling. I wouldn't ask Tolkien to wipe his backside with them. I was writing better fiction in my high school Creative Writing class.
