Dragonmarked

Didn't notice any posts about it, I got it yesterday and have read a bit. So far it's a fun read. The entries for the Houses aren't terribly detailed, but they're informative and give information for using them in game. Each house gets a PrC, most of which were full of ideas for me. Feats are good, including Aberrant Marks of lesser and greater variety.

Overall I like it, but won't have the chance to do any in depth info until the Gears of War crank to an ending. :)

It is on my "to buy" list, without question. From what I've heard, the take on Gallianda (sp?) alone is well worth the price of the book.

Index: no

Ignore Stunned/Dazed: Mark of the Dauntless, cannot be stunned/dazed, can remove the condition from another with Standard action & touch.

House Lyranders gets the normal write-up, plus Storm Sentry (PrC, improved gust of wind & wind related stuff, warrior type), Storm Riposte feat (spend 1 AP to attack foe that just attacked you, deal extra sonic or electric damage), Stormrider (reroll balance 1/day, take 10 on balance checks, gain resistance to electricity & sonic)

I get the impression that they didn't feel folks were embracing the Dragonmarks, finding the spell not worth the feat, so they escalated it a little bit. I'm not thinking they're too powerful as is, though a DM needs to watch them, but not sure they'll really increase Mark use either. I think the problem with Dragonmarks is the lack of feats overall. My players don't really get behind the Houses though, I gave each of them a free dragonmark and 3 of 5 took Aberrants. Only one really feels like the Houses matter, and even he has the wrong house for what he is. (Mark of Finding for a more Cannith type, an artificer. Even going Wand Master Guy.)
