strength bonus for damage may be off for the bite and claw damage ... I think gave bite 1.5x (should be 1x) and claws 1x (should be .5x).

dragon turtles will next week

1.5 strength bonus for damage applies only when there is only one natural natural attack, i.e., if it has one bite, or one slam, etc.

as i understand it, if the creature has more than one attack form it does not get the 1.5 damage bonus multiplier. this means whether it has a bite and 2 claws, or a bite and a tail, or even if it only has 2 slams. so if a critter has two claw attacks, it gets only damage bonus x1 even if it only uses one claw in a round.

ya know ... It's been so long since I've read it I can't remember  ... and my internet access is very limited at work (which is good ... having a job and salary this year!)

just checked the srd, tail slap is 1.5x

bite 1x
claw .5x
wing .5x
tail slap 1.5x
tail sweep 1.5x (standard action)
crush 1.5x (standard action)

Bump

Bump!!!

and if you're lurking or just perusing ... go ahead and check out the the documents in the first post.

they're the Dragon Turtle, Dragonnel, and Wyvern broken down in age categories and sizes. Not quite True dragon-style, but in a, what I think, is a fair growth-stage style.

the Dragonnel from ToH was converted to dragon status and has a couple of added age/size categories (up to 12 HD and Gargantuan size)

The Wyvern is given some higher ages as well (see dragonnel)

the Dragon Turtle is broken down too. I need someone to check and see if the skill points work out (I think the MM version has to many).

oh, my bad... for dragons with the multiple attack forms it can be different... but most creatures, it is what i said before. :p

CRs?

I know it is a pain, and a bit subjective, but i know I would like to see CRs associated with the critters. :)

But I love the small dragon tutrles. Heh. Next time my PCs are near a lake or river I'll tell them they see a large turtle floating towards them and see what they do.... Should be fun.

CR's??? ... um ... well ... If there's one thing I really don't feel like doing, it's CR's ... :\ The middle HD range would be annoying, but I would think the hatchling's would be CR 1 or 2 (especially for a dragon turtle with breath weapon).

... I'll try to guestimate some tomorrow *wolf is just realizing how important CR's are for followers/mounts/etc*

I'm not at all good at it. But if some wanted to CR them I wouldn't mind :heh:

Boz, I think we can handle a few simple mistakes ... heck I had to look it up too!

bah!!! Wyvern has to be updated ...AGAIN!

the last two listings for it's spot ability should be:

14 (20)
15 (21)

putting a new .doc in the first post shortly
