Trying to Greater Dispel the dragon's buffs during the first round of combat is an excellent idea.


Just pray it hasn't taken the feat Practiced Spellcaster several times. Ouch! :]

I should have been clearer - no extra XP above and beyond the XP cost permanency would have for the same effect. I apologize I wasn't clearer on which cost I was using as a baseline when saying "extra".

A dragon could easily have a cult of sorceress, which in turn of service would pay for / cast unlimited amount of permenency spells..

Everything has a cost, nothing is free etc.. "Paying" for something does not have to be messured in gold. The only thing it would do (except powering the Dragon) is giving it some extra flawor...
