Do they have good info on the Cult of the Dragon such as examples of cells, plots, hooks, and stats for important cult members? Does the adventure include the cult of the dragon and the dragon rage? I'm planning on running a Realms campaign based on the Year of Rogue Dragons, and this type of info would be very useful to me.

Yes. (With the possible exception of "stats for important cult members", depending on what you're looking for.)

There are two adventures i nthe books. Both are set post-Rage, although they could be easily adapted to run during the Rage. One is focused on the Cult of the Dragon and the other the Church of Tiamat. There should be a 3rd adventure in the WE focused on a different group entirely.

The name was changed from Brown Abishai to Krathbairn, meaning "Krath's babies". They basically took Krath's, a brown dragon, children and altered them to what, mechanically speaking, are pretty much "brown abishai" since the abilities are totally similiar.

However, the blackspawn corruptor and the hoarder are not in this book. They were cut most likely for space reasons.

Also, the other section cut was the guidelines on worshipping and serving the draconic deities of the draconic pantheon. But Eytan's write-up for the Web Enhancement will feature each draconic deity from 2E's "Cult of the Dragon", hopefully with a summary about each, their deity status, alignment, portfolio, favored weapon, and their role in the present day Realms. I'd love to see how he tackles the task of writing up on the 3 unique draconic deities of Faerun, personally (well 4, but one got destroyed and assimilated with another during the Time of Troubles). Zorquan was one I was interested in, particularly.

We've also been trying to convince Eytan on the WotC boards to allow Sardior a role in the Realms, as well.

I'm glad you pointed that out. I only briefly scanned the gallery and didn't notice the cut monsters or the brown abishai reference. Now that those two other monsters have appeared, I guess the cat's out of the bag. Those two were mine (and probably were cut due to space reasons at the end). I firmly hope (believe) that they will yet have life in them (especially considering that the art is already there).

I like the new name of the brown abishai because it sets the creature as related to the abishai, but based from a Realms specific pliot (hence the reason they are native outsiders unlike the other abishai). It's funny because I didnt actually come up with the name Krathbairn, but it is based on Slavin'Krath'Magaal, the name of the brown dragon I created for the Altar of Scales adventure.

Let's be cautious about what will and won't appear in the WE. I would like to do what you are suggesting, but there are obviously a bunch of other things I'd like to do as well. We'll have to wait and see how much of a smorgasbord I will be able to fit.
