Dragons Tumble?

As a DM would you ever drop skill points in to Tumble for a Dragon. I've thought about doing it but then just couldn't picture it as being a thing a dragon would want to do.

You know, the MM has pretty specific guidelines for what skills are "generally" bought by dragons. MM p. 62: Listen, Spot, Search, Bluff, Concentration, Diplomacy, Escape Artist, Knowledge, and Scry. (Spellcraft & Jump come for free for certain dragons.)

Tumble's not in the list, and it seems it would need to be bought at cross-class costs. I agree that it doesn't make much sense to do so.

I agree to the cross-class for buying tumble since its not in the list of skills in the MM.
Must be an incredible sight to see I might try it one time to see what reactions I get from the players.

I could see it on a Fairy Dragon. They are just chaotic enough to choose style over substance and small enough where it could help them.

I would explain it as acrobatic flight, but use the tumble skill.

I might also see it where a Dragon likes to shapechange a lot into humanoids and wander amongst them.

It could represent a dragon who is unusually agile for a dragon, and has learned how to maneuver it's bulk in close quarters so as not to leave itselve vulnerable.

It would open up a way for very large dragons to move more than 5 feet without opening themselves up to AoO's.
