Dragonstar: Deep Space Campaign, Part One: Taken

"I am more of a talker then a doer but i can make it to were I can really your thoughts to the others, sir, so we can know what it is going on and be able to help you in an emergency."

Horatio nervously steps up to Tenos and gestures towards him. Tenos's ear is covered in ectoplasm for a moment as is Horatio's. Then Tenos hears in his head "Can you hear me?"

OOC Horatio manifests lesser mindlink.

Well we all have the same to lose so why not extend a bit of trust. I hope they are worth it.

"Well, I'm not that good at keeping as quiet as a mouse," Banwyl says as he tries to hear what Tenos had heard (to no avail). "But I can pick off a bird at the edge of my sight pretty well and I'm not wearing any metal either. So I could keep my distance behind you and provide some cover."

"Stealth isn't exactly a talent of mine, but I shall do what I can."

Kaalek advances with the others, with Quarrop close at hand and watching carefully in each direction.

Hearing no ready responses to his query and losing attention anyway, Mossaka shrugs and looks around for something else to do. He takes flight and, taking care to keep his new friends in view, circles the area hunting for something to eat.

Watching the drogre take to the air, Banwyl mutters to the others, "Well, there goes the idea of sneaking around. Maybe he will prove to be just the distraction we need."

Tenos follows his point elven ears. Stealthily making his way towards the sounds. In the forest ahead he hears what sound like many feet stomping towards the clearing and his companions. Suddenly shouts can be heard followed by the now familiar sounds of boomsticks being fired.

Mossaka flies above the forest keeping the clearing insight searching for anything a size enough to fill his empty belly. But his superior draconic senses detect not food but men and not scents of his companions. Scanning the forest floor Mossaka spots them at the same time they see him. A group of Men, how many Mossaka doesn?t know as he has trouble counting past two. There are more then two however and they begin to shout at the sight of scaled Drogre. Dressed in strange smooth armor and holding similar boomsticks he and his companions found earlier then take at Mossaka fire. So shaken by his appearance they completely miss.

DM: New foes appear. Mossaka is 200 ft. away and in the air. Tenos is about 75 ft. away from the men. The rest are on the northern edge of the clearing 150 ft. away from the men. Initiative is as follows:

Tenos 17; Banwyl 17; Saskai 13; Horatio 11; Mossaka 10; Men 9; Kaalek 4.

Sneaking and hiding, Tenos tries to use the Drogre's distraction to move closer through the underbrush. If the men start coming his direction, he'll hold his position and hide, then lash out with his whip dagger when they're in range.

Great now they are humanoid and firing at us and in some kind of armor to, sheesh

Horatio drops to the ground were he can still see them and fires at the first one he saw.

Mossaka falters in midair, threatening to fall from the sky in fear as the boomsticks' projectiles buzz past him. He gracelessly decends into a nearby tree and grabs the trunk, bending the perch toward the ground far enough for him to hop/fall off. He hides behind the same narrow trunk, blue leaves falling all around him, and covers his ears. His arms, shoulders and wings can easily be seen on either side.

Banwyl sets his sights on the men and tries to pick out a leader. If he feels he can make the shot, he will. Otherwise, he will close the distance as quietly as he can and fire.
