Dream products that will never see the light of day...

I will unlurk long enough to add a vote...

D20 Shadowrun has been in my dreams for some time now...

Or alternately:

A D20 Cyberspace game similar to the PC version of Neuromancer (PC or P&P). Build up a system, learn your skills, get software, hack for fun and profit.

A D20 portable (and complete) old-world magic/martial arts sourcebook. Rules for your Barbarian to throw dragon punches, or your Jedi to use pressure points.

D20 Paranoia...

That's already out. It's called Dragon Lords of Melnibone.

No. I said a "good" d20 version. Not crap-on-a-stick, as I've often called DLoM ....

:-)

Seriously, I found it very, very lacking. I'd still like to see a good D20 conversion of not just the world of the Young Kingdoms, but a set of rules that handled all the basic eternal champion worlds / concepts / themes.

Oh and I echo the "Enemy Within" desire. That would be freakishly cool.

D20 World of Synnibar!!! Psi-elves! Mutants! Cyborgs! And Blade, the god of Ninjas and Rock 'n Roll!!!!

...

Okay, maybe not. ;-)

Dude, the plural of 'ninja' is 'ninja'. Don't wanna be upsetting those types.

also the computer program that lets you zoom in on a 3d model of the world is very possible. there are people doing this with real maps right now, and how hard could the rest of it be? just a bunch of generators and pictures. it would be an incredible ammount of work to map out the entire world in great detail and then provide altitude info for each section. if i can find the url for the 3d map guy's site i'll post it. neat stuff.

I think that they could have the "core" program, with the world and some major cities, then sell add-on packages with more cities and adventures and such. Quick and easy, for lazy DM's.:D

D20 Modern "Snow Crash" setting.

I have seen the future of Science aFiction and it is Neil Stephenson.

Stephenson is one hell of an author... anyone who can create such vivid, full-spectrum visions of the future and condense them into single books (Snow Crash, The Diamond Age) is a world-building god in my book.

Anyway, I've been talking to a few freelance authors who are developing an RPG Setting for d20 Modern called "Identity: Transhuman". They haven't found a publisher yet, but the ideas in it are absolutely incredible... they range from the "Memetic feat system" and "philosophical combat" to an elaborate "Build-your-own weapon" system... not to mention full rules for everything from nanotechnology and genetic engineering to meditative psychology and levels of "universe-perception"- this is far-out stuff. Anyone who is into authors like Stephenson, Vinge, Niven, Broderick, or Kosko should definitely check it out... that is, if it ever comes out... <keeping his fingers VERY crossed>
