I took the CD to work and the files would not work on any of the computers there. I also put some non-DRM files from RPGNow! on the CD and they opend fine on all the computers.

I will not be buying any more of the DRM files. To me it is like buying a Used Car.

It may work today, but will it work tomorow?

It will work on any computer you sign up for. I haven't done it myself, but this is somthing that has been at the herart of the discussion for the past week. THe file will always work on your home computer now that it has been registered.

Are you able to add your own bookmarks? Or is that restricted by DRM as well? (If I recal correctly, you can restrict it with DRM.)

I've never tried to put in my own bookmarks on any pdf actually. I like to keep them as is. But that is a very good question.

Limit of 6 at any given time. If you want to go beyond that, you have to deactivate a machine to free up a slot (through Adobe customer service).

You know what's funny? My bootleg copy of Gamma World I snagged off a P2P client is a better quality version than the version through Drivethrurpg. It even has bookmarks.
On so many levels -- I don't know if that is funny or sad.

I supppose most poeple know this, but you need the full acrobat version to add bookmarks, as far as I know. You can't modify a PDF with the free acrobat reader.

I seem to remember other posters saying they could add bookmarks with the full version.

Yeah, it's too bad they don't still offer something similar to Acrobat Approval. That was only 50 bucks, and it let you add bookmarks. I already owned the full version of Acrobat, but I wanted to be able to edit bookmarks and work with form data on my second machine, so it was a heck of a bargain.

Too true. Guess I'm spoiled by having my own license. I guess it isn't even an option for most then.
