I've downloaded 2300AD during its Freebie Week from them, and the download broke down shortly before it was complete (software problem on my end - Acrobat Reader had some weird problems). I mailed them about it, and they immediately reactivated the download link - despite the fact that Freebie Week was over at that point. And I will probably use them in the future - to buy other 2300AD supplements.

Yes, DRM has problems. But there are some publishers out there who won't do ebooks without them - and as long as that is the case, DriveThroughRPG will have a reason to exist.

So if you are upset about the whole concept, don't rail against DTRPG - they are just exploiting a market niche that hadn't been covered before. If you must rail against someone, do it against the publishers who use it.
