Hey, can anyone compare and contrast the various drow books? I'm not even sure which ones there are out there. I know for sure about the Green Ronin book and the Natural20 Press book.

So far, I only have the Green Ronin version (Poison and Plot), but I don't feel the need to buy any other version. Simply put, it's got everything I ever needed for a Drow-based campaign, and then some.

Who needs Lolth? Any spidery goddess would do pretty much the same thing, right? And drow without spiders and strict matriarchies can be interesting too, as far as I'm concerned.
And do you say drow to rhyme with cow or crow?

It's supposed to rhyme with cow. There's a pronouciation guide at wotc.
When I started to game, the first thing my gamer friends showed me was the 2E tarrasque. They kept calling it tair-uh-skew.
The d20 books probably have spider and matriarchy references in them, but they probably shouldn't. Anyhow, without that, I don't see why you wouldn't just create a new evil race altogether. I'd buy a racebook of an all-new species before a drow book.

Yeah ! Another pronounciation thread ! Yay ! Keep 'em coming, they amuse me ! On WotC's boards, there are people asking how to pronounce "Salvatores" (as in, R.A. Salvatores, the novelist).
Tairaskew ? To rhyme with barbecue ? That's fun. Of couse, it's a French word, so you should replace the "que" by a "k", and pronounce the 'a' as in "father", but that's less funny than tarrasque barbecue.
To stray back on topic (but not long), there's P&P, and there's the Complete Guide to Drow. Here's a review of the latter, made by Forrester. I know nothing about the former, except that it's made by GRP, which is generally seen as a good quality publisher.
