Tipp-ex thinners (if you can still get it) will work, as will nail varnish remover.

WARNING: Do not use Nail polish remover lightly. I destroyed a battlemat (albeit a very different product) with just *one* kleenex stroke with this on it.

Always found the "scribble over it with dry erase marker" and rub off has been effective and safest with most surfaces even a battlemat.

Tact-Tiles rule! I have a review all written but I guess there are still some issues with posting reviews. I guess I could post it in the forum.

At the latest Winter Fantasy I realized how much I missed my Tact-Tiles and pre-drawing the tiles to throw at the party when they get to the next area. I was surprised when the judges & players I met went 'huh?' when I mentioned them, so I had to pimp them a little. Anyone have some good pics of their tact-tiles in action?

Sorry PirateCat, they don't wear out quite so easily so a hand-me-down set will likely be a long way off.

Yeah, they're the best.

I can't believe I waited so long to buy them, or wasted money on a Chessex battlemat first. Silly me.
