Dry Erase Dilemma

Seeing as a Chessex table-sized battlemat is about $30 without markers and tact-tiles while closer to $60 (with markers and case) are a lot more customizable and less messy to clean up - I think they are competively priced.

I have not gotten mine yet. . .I already wish I had done it long ago.

When in doubt, gin is my prefered white-board cleaning solution. Cheap gin is abundant, an excellent solvent, and leaves the white-board smelling pine-fresh.

I got a brand new set on ebay for about $48, including shipping. Ebay is your friend. :)

Tact-tiles are WAY too expensive.

Since most of my sessions run for only about 3 1/2 - 4 hours, time is money. The time saved by using Tact-Tiles (especially in dungeons) is invaluable IMO.

At $60, Tact-tiles are probably the best investment I've made in a gaming product since the 3e corebooks. I've used them at every single session I've run since I bought them, and I can't imagine going back to a battlemat.

I have a set of tactiles, that we use for our DnD games, that I have become completely spoilt by.

At our Mutants & Masterminds game we still use our hex grid battlemat. All it does, is make me appreciate my Tact-Tiles that much more.

I am waiting with bated breath for them to release a hex based set. I will order them as soon as I am able...
