I don't get it. They claim Mind Flayers, despite being obviously Cthonian, Yuan-ti, not exactly an original concept, and a few other obscure ones, yet don't bother to claim the obviously D&D monster, which is even genetically adapted to graph paper, the Gelatinous Cube?

Gelatinous Cube's aren't cool or sexy. :)

Also, a Mind Flayer is not "obviously a cthonian," as someone earlier suggested. A cthonian is huge, and in no way anthropomorphic - though a good case could be made to suggest they are Cthulhu without wings, or Star Spawn. :)

It could be said that the Grick, however, are small Cthonians.
